
Shareit, a platform for brokering face-to-face event spaces, recently announced that it has secured 8 billion won in funding. This funding was followed by a 3 billion won follow-on investment from the Korea Development Bank, while Woori Venture Partners and IBK Venture Investment also contributed 3 billion won and 2 billion won, respectively.
Shareit plans to use this investment to enhance its platform, including introducing AI consulting solutions, expanding private brand space development, and launching event commerce. To achieve this, the company plans to strengthen its execution capabilities by expanding its technical and business development staff. Furthermore, it plans to build a community of event planners and implement customized marketing strategies to increase brand awareness in the market. Furthermore, it plans to collaborate with various service platforms to expand the user experience and enhance the convenience of event operations.
Lead investor Woori Venture Partners praised Shareit for its data-driven matching capabilities, going beyond mere brokerage. A representative stated, "We've confirmed Shareit's execution and market responsiveness, demonstrating continued growth even during the COVID-19 pandemic." They added, "Considering Shareit's stable B2B-focused revenue structure and problem-solving capabilities, it has strong potential to grow into a key infrastructure player in the corporate event market."
Park Sang-jun, CEO of Shareit, said, “This investment will be a turning point in solving inefficiencies in the event industry through technology,” and added, “Based on our unrivaled matching data and AI solutions, we will leap forward to become Asia’s number one lifestyle entertainment platform.”
