Atomos Co., Ltd., operator of the mental health platform "Mind Cafe," announced that it has acquired Bright Co., Ltd., a specialist in Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) and organizational psychology consulting. With this acquisition, Atomos plans to strengthen its market leadership as an integrated mental health platform encompassing online and offline, B2C and B2B.
Atomos operates MindCafe, a mental health platform with over 4 million users. Its AI-based psychological technologies, including emotion analysis, risk group detection, and care matching, enable it to precisely assess the psychological state of individuals and organizations. This acquisition will combine Bright's field operations and consulting expertise to digitize and refine the entire enterprise solution process, from organizational diagnosis and risk group detection to post-care and training.
Since its founding in 2015, Brightness is an organizational psychology firm that has provided in-depth organizational diagnosis and customized psychological consulting to over 300 corporate clients. As an industrial safety and health training institution accredited by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Brightness boasts a reputation for service reliability, boasting ISO 27001 (the international standard for information security) certification.
Kim Gyu-tae, CEO of Atomos, said, “This acquisition marks the beginning of a technology-based psychological care model that embeds offline expertise and field experience within the platform. We will present a new standard for the mental health industry through a structure that connects technology, people, content, and services.”
Following its acquisition of Mind Class, operator of the meditation app "Elephant," Atomos has now completed a comprehensive solution spanning prevention, management, treatment, and organizational aspects with this acquisition of Bright. Furthermore, Atomos plans to leverage its accumulated user psychological data and AI technology with medical and clinical settings to secure competitiveness in digital mental health treatment and healthcare-related fields.
