Freelance platform Cremong (CEOs Park Hyun-ho and Kim Tae-heon) announced on the 1st that it had been selected as one of the "2025 Korea Work-Life Balance Excellence Companies." With this designation, Cremong has received government-sponsored certification as an "Excellent Company for Job Creation" for two consecutive years, following its selection as the "Korea's Best Company for Job Creation" in September of last year.
The 'Korea Work-Life Balance Excellence Company' is a project jointly hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and organized by the Korea Labor Foundation. It selects companies that have implemented various exemplary systems to support the work-life balance of their employees.
Since 2017, Kmong has been improving its long-hours work culture by introducing a 35-hour workweek. It also operates various flexible work systems, including staggered work hours, telecommuting, and flexible work hours, creating a work environment tailored to each employee's lifestyle.
In particular, Cremon supports employees to increase creativity and work immersion while maintaining a balanced life by providing a one-month paid sabbatical for employees with five or more years of service, providing half-day leave for birthdays, and operating an annual leave promotion system.
Additionally, Cremon provides 500,000 won in job training expenses to all employees annually and operates a paid medical checkup leave system for pregnant women and their spouses.
Kim Tae-heon, CEO of Cremon, said, “The ‘innovation in the way we work’ that Cremon aims for begins with an environment where members can achieve a life-style balance and focus on their work.” He added, “We will continue to strengthen effective welfare and flexible work systems to establish ourselves as a company where everyone can work well.”
