
Kim Eung-tae, CEO of Witz (459100), a power transmission solution specialist, received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award in the manufacturing sector at the 11th Mid-Sized Enterpriser Day ceremony held on the 1st.
SME Day is an event jointly hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Federation of SMEs to honor the achievements of companies that have contributed to the national economy and industrial development and to promote the value of sustainable corporate growth.
According to Witz, CEO Kim Eung-tae was selected as the winner in recognition of his contributions to the development of the mid-sized business industry, including expanding the business into mobile, home appliance, and electrical fields based on power transmission technology, leading the way in setting global technology standards, and expanding overseas exports and creating jobs.
Since taking office, CEO Kim has achieved approximately 70.8% sales growth, and has also been highly evaluated for strengthening technological competitiveness by investing 6 billion won in research and development (R&D) annually for the past three years starting in 2022.
Based on its 3-Combo (wireless charging, NFC, MST) mobile module technology, Witz supplies wireless charging modules to Samsung Electronics' flagship smartphones and wearable models, maintaining stable growth. Through its manufacturing operations in Vietnam, Witz is able to quickly respond to requests from global customers.
