Kibo Hosts '2025 Middle East Export Performance Sharing Meeting and Export Strategy Seminar'

On the 26th , the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KIBO) co-hosted the "2025 Middle East Export Performance Sharing Meeting and Export Strategy Seminar" with eight related organizations in the Busan area at the Avani Central Hotel in Busan. This event was designed to share the achievements of the Middle East Market Development Team project and strengthen the global competitiveness of local export SMEs.

The first part of the performance sharing session was attended by approximately 50 participants, including companies participating in the Middle East Market Development Team and related organizations. Two Minister of SMEs and Startups Awards and 18 commemorative plaques commending successful entry into the Middle East market were presented. Best practices were shared, highlighting the achievements of local export consultations held in countries like the UAE and Qatar. Over the past three years, 30 SMEs have participated, conducting consultations worth a total of $99.65 million and securing export contracts worth $31.37 million. Through pre- and post-marketing support, 10 participating companies achieved export contracts totaling $1.52 million, including $220,000 in on-site contracts.

The second part of the export seminar featured four hours of practical, hands-on programs, including creating overseas marketing content using generative AI, strategies for responding to US tariff risks, and strategies for responding to technology protection for SMEs. The seminar garnered a enthusiastic response from the approximately 100 executives and staff from local export SMEs in attendance.

Kibo CEO Cheon Chang-ho said, “The success of pioneering the Middle Eastern market and the leap forward of local small and medium-sized enterprises based on global strategies will also contribute to the revitalization of the local economy,” and added, “Kibo will continue to strengthen cooperation with relevant local organizations to support small and medium-sized enterprises in successfully entering the global market.”

Kibo is providing benefits such as increased guarantee ratios, reduced guarantee fees, and preferential interest rates to export companies recommended by the Busan Regional SMEs and Startups Agency. Based on this, it has expanded export financing support by 74% year-on-year, supporting the stable establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises in overseas markets.
