KOSA Signs MOU with Chungcheongbuk-do Province and Chungbuk Science and Technology Innovation Institute

The Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association (Chairman Jo Jun-hee, KOSA) , North Chungcheong Province, and the North Chungcheong Science and Technology Innovation Institute announced on November 25 that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to ‘create an innovation ecosystem for the North Chungcheong AX (AI Transition) industry.’

This agreement was promoted to establish a system of collaboration and cooperation between AI and software suppliers and local demand companies, and to accelerate the AI transition in North Chungcheong Province's industrial sector. The signing ceremony was held at Osco in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, and was attended by officials including North Chungcheong Province Governor Kim Young-hwan, Chungbuk Science and Technology Innovation Institute Director Koh Geun-seok, and KOSA Chairman Cho Jun-hee.

The agreement organizations promised to cooperate, share information, and establish a mutual support system to revitalize the innovation ecosystem across industries, including ▲promoting AX in the local small business industry ▲establishing a network between KOSA-affiliated supply companies and Chungbuk demand companies ▲cooperating in training AI and SW experts.

KOSA Chairman Cho Jun-hee said, “We will help the Chungbuk region grow into a representative model region for the AX industry in Korea by connecting the proven AI/SW solutions and specialized capabilities of our 15,000 member companies with companies in Chungbuk.”

North Chungcheong Province Governor Kim Young-hwan said, “This agreement is significant in that it establishes a practical partnership to fully establish AI transformation in North Chungcheong Province’s industrial sites,” and added, “KOSA’s expertise and network will be a great help in strengthening the innovation capabilities of companies in the province.”
