
Tara TPS (CEO Kang Ho-yeon) announced on the 25th that it has acquired Chicago Offset, a commercial printing company located in Illinois, USA, and officially launched Tara USA, a local corporation.
Chicago Offset is a leading regional printing company with a diverse commercial printing infrastructure, including sheetfed presses and saddle stitching equipment, and is equipped to meet the diverse printing needs of the North American market.
Through this acquisition, Tara TPS will establish a near-field optimized production system that combines the mass production capabilities of its Paju headquarters with the agile short-term delivery capabilities of its US operations. This will enable shorter delivery times and simultaneous response to both high-volume and short-term orders, strengthening its global production capabilities.
Jang Won-jae, head of the overseas business division at TaratPS, said, “The U.S. is a key overseas market for the company, and this acquisition is a strategic decision to provide services closer to our global customers.” He added, “By combining Korea’s mass production capabilities with the agility of local production in the U.S., we will further strengthen our global service competitiveness, focusing on the North American market.”
