Taesung supplies composite copper foil materials to overseas battery foundries.

Taesung (CEO Kim Jong-hak), a specialized equipment company for PCBs, glass substrates, and secondary battery composite copper foils, announced on the 21st that it will supply composite copper foil materials and conduct battery performance evaluations for overseas battery company B. The company explained that this supply will serve as an opportunity to fully advance into the global battery market, following its previous venture with domestic company A.

Recently, the demand for copper foil has been expanding not only in batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) but also in various fields such as energy storage systems (ESS), and Taesung's advanced composite copper foil equipment and material technology are evaluated to have met these market demands.

This supply expansion is expected to provide additional momentum to Taesung's composite copper foil equipment business. While several Chinese clients have expressed interest in visiting to resume negotiations, the company stated that it is strategically coordinating the timing of these discussions to secure the most favorable terms for its business.

In addition, a Taesung official stated that detailed specifications for glass substrate equipment are in the final stages of negotiation, and that the company plans to begin supplying mass production equipment for glass substrates stably from 2026 in line with the customer's schedule for establishing a mass production line.
