Green Umbrella (Chairman Hwang Young-ki) announced on November 17 that it signed a business agreement with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (Acting President Jeon Dae-wook, hereinafter referred to as KHNP) and BGF Retail (CEO Min Seung-bae) to promote the digital matching donation campaign ‘Love Snack Pocket’ for children at risk of skipping meals.
The signing ceremony took place at the Green Umbrella headquarters and officially announced the launch of a new social contribution model involving public corporations, private companies, and non-profit organizations. Following the signing, a commemorative photo session and a meeting were held to discuss future cooperation plans and business operations.
"Love Snack Pocket" is a digital matching donation campaign where Hanwha Solutions employees and executives donate 10,000 won per click when they click the "Donate" button on the PocketCU app. The campaign will run from December 1 to 26, 2025, with the goal of reaching up to 5,000 participants and supporting approximately 500 children at risk of starvation.
Under this agreement, Hanwha Solutions will be responsible for encouraging employee participation and providing donations, BGF Retail will be responsible for developing and operating campaigns within the Pocket CU app, and Green Umbrella will be responsible for receiving donations, executing child support projects, and reporting on performance.
Jeon Dae-wook, acting president of Hanwha Solutions, said, "I hope this will be an opportunity for us to work together to address the socially vulnerable through employee-participatory donations." Min Seung-bae, CEO of BGF Retail, said, "I am delighted that the CU platform is taking on a new role as a digital social contribution channel." Hwang Young-ki, chairman of Green Umbrella, added, "I hope that through this three-way collaboration, we can achieve the twin goals of providing practical support to children and spreading a culture of sharing."
