Quantum standard technology specialist SDT (CEO Jiwon Yoon) announced on the 13th that it has officially joined the 'QuEra Quantum Alliance', a global partnership program led by QuEra Computing, a US quantum computing specialist company.
The Quera Quantum Alliance is a global collaboration launched to accelerate the commercialization and industrial application of neutral atom quantum computing technology. It is promoting the development and deployment of neutral atom-based quantum computers through collaboration with key technology companies and industrial partners such as SDT.
Through this merger, SDT has secured exclusive distribution rights for the Spike product line in Korea, in collaboration with global companies like Mara Solution, and has been granted non-exclusive distribution rights for Indonesia and the Philippines. Based on its proprietary Quantum Design & Manufacturing (QDM) system, the company integrates R&D, mass production, quality, and commercialization, leading the way in the industrialization of quantum technology.
Qeera, a company co-founded in 2018 by Harvard University Professor Mikhail Lukin and MIT Professor Vladan Vuletić, possesses world-class technology in neutral atom-based quantum computing. Recently, it supplied a neutral atom quantum computer worth approximately $41 million to Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), completing installation alongside the NVIDIA-based ABCI-Q supercomputer. Furthermore, it demonstrated its marketability by securing $230 million (approximately KRW 330 billion) in a round involving Google and SoftBank's Vision Fund.
Through this collaboration, SDT aims to accelerate the industrial application of neutral atom quantum computing technology with QERA and global partners and leap forward as a domestic and international quantum ecosystem hub.
