SmartTrader Systems Signs Strategic Cooperation MOU with US-based Mara Solutions

Smart Radar System Co., Ltd. (424960, CEO Yong-Hwan Kim), a 4D imaging radar specialist, announced on the 13th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for strategic business cooperation with Mara Solution, Inc., a defense startup based in San Francisco, USA.

Through this agreement, Smart Radar Systems has secured the exclusive supply rights for the 'Spike product line', a next-generation anti-drone defense system currently under development by Mara Solution, in Korea, and has also been granted non-exclusive supply rights for Indonesia and the Philippines.

Mara Solutions' next-generation defense platform, Spike, currently under development, is a general-purpose anti-drone system that can be used to protect not only ground combat vehicles like tanks and armored personnel carriers, but also key national infrastructure such as airports, power plants, and communication base stations. The system is scheduled to be unveiled for the first time at the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Earlier this year, Smart Radar Systems established a partnership with Mara Solutions through a strategic equity investment of US$100,000. The two companies agreed to integrate Smart Radar Systems' core technology, 4D Imaging Radar, into Mara Solutions' "Spike" system. This sensor, based on its ultra-precise range and velocity detection capabilities, will serve as a core sensor module for drone detection, identification, and response algorithms.

A Smart Radar System official said, “With drone threats emerging as a major risk to national security, our collaboration with Mara Solutions is an important opportunity to increase the technological expansion potential of Smart Radar Systems in the global defense market,” adding, “The ‘Spike’ system, which will be unveiled at CES 2026, will serve as a foundation for strengthening the defense cooperation network in the Asian region, including Korea.”
