AI healthcare startup VivaLabs (CEO Ha-young Lim) announced on the 12th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Pangyo Community Welfare Center (Director Hoon Lee) regarding an AI-based senior-tailored exercise care solution and will promote a health promotion project for seniors in the region.
This agreement builds on the success of the "Early School" program, a health academy for middle-aged and older adults that ran from September to November. Participants demonstrated positive changes, including increased muscle strength, improved balance, and improved flexibility. Viva System's AI reports enabled social workers to efficiently manage individual seniors' physical fitness data. This enabled social welfare centers to move beyond their traditional reliance on manual records and establish a systematic, data-driven health management system.
Lim Ha-young, CEO of Viva Labs, said, “The Viva System is a solution that goes beyond providing personalized exercise plans and builds a sustainable health management ecosystem based on data,” adding, “Starting with our collaboration with Pangyo Community Welfare Center, we will expand to welfare centers nationwide to support the healthy daily lives of seniors.”
An official from Pangyo Integrated Social Welfare Center said, “We have had difficulties operating programs to prevent muscle weakness and falls among residents, but through this collaboration, we can now provide professional and systematic health management services.” He added, “We expect that this program, which combines AI-based customized measurement and expert management, will result in high participation and satisfaction among residents.”
