
Busan Digital Asset Exchange announced on the 10th that CEO Kim Sang-min received the 'Innovative Entrepreneur Award' at the '2025 Fall Academic Conference' of the Korea Venture Startup Association held on the 8th.
The Korea Venture and Entrepreneurship Association annually presents its "Entrepreneurship Awards" to entrepreneurs and organizations that have contributed to the development of venture startups and innovative companies. This year's awards ceremony was attended by NH Nonghyup Bank, Megastudy Group, Lotte Ventures, Neowiz, and the Korea Venture Capital Association.
CEO Kim Sang-min was highly praised for leading innovation in the digital finance industry by establishing Bdan, Korea's first fourth-generation blockchain-based digital asset exchange. Bdan is Korea's only local government-led, 100% privately funded real asset (RWA) exchange, with 11 shareholders, including Hana Bank, Hana Securities, NHN Cloud, ITcen Global, and Ocon.
CEO Kim is also playing a key role in Busan City's "Target 2026 Blockchain City Busan" project. He is developing the Web 3.0 digital wallet "Silk Pocket" in collaboration with Naver Financial and Hashed, and is also advancing security technology by establishing a cybersecurity research center in collaboration with Korea University's Graduate School of Information Security.
He also strengthened the global cooperative system by forming the Asia Digital Exchange Alliance (ADEA), a consortium of digital asset exchanges in six Asian countries. He also serves as the Chairman of the Busan Blockchain Regulatory Free Zone Steering Committee and a distinguished professor at Busan University of Foreign Studies, contributing to industrial development and talent development.
Based on these achievements, CEO Kim received the Minister of Science and ICT Award and the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award and the Joint Growth Committee Award this year.
CEO Kim Sang-min stated, "By expanding investment in digital real assets, we will create a market where more individuals can enjoy high-yield financial opportunities." He added, "By developing Busan into a global blockchain and digital finance hub, we will establish a global success model for South Korea."
