
The Seoul Foundation for Women and Family (CEO Park Jeong-sook) announced on November 6th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Women Startup Association at the Seoul Women's Plaza to "Strengthen Women's Capacity, Promote Work-Life Balance, and Foster a Gender-Equal Organizational Culture." This agreement aims to establish a cooperative system to support work-life balance, fostering sustainable growth for women-led startups and fostering a culture of equality within organizations.
Under the agreement, the Seoul Foundation for Women and Family will provide consulting and training to foster a work-life balance culture for women-led startups and support content and programs to foster a gender-equal organizational culture. Furthermore, the foundation will collaborate with the Korea Women's Startup Association to expand participation in the "SME Work-Life Balance Point System" to help women-led startups effectively implement a work-life balance culture.
Through this agreement, the two organizations will pursue various collaborative projects aimed at revitalizing women's economic activity, including consulting on preventing sexual harassment and violence in the workplace, capacity building programs for current employees, and internship support for women on career breaks. The goal is to strengthen the management capabilities of female entrepreneurs and foster gender awareness within companies, fostering a sustainable organizational culture.
Park Jeong-sook, CEO of the Seoul Foundation for Women and Family, said, "Women-led startups are a new growth engine for our society. We hope this agreement will further revitalize work-life balance consulting and the spread of a gender-equal organizational culture." She added, "The Seoul Foundation for Women and Family will continue to strengthen policy and educational support to help women achieve sustainable growth and create an equal workplace."
