Selvas AI , an artificial intelligence (AI) specialized company, announced on the 5th that it will supply its AI medical voice recognition solution, ‘Selvas MediVoice,’ to all medical departments of Inje University Busan Paik Hospital and signed a joint development agreement to build an AI-based smart hospital.
The two parties aim to launch a pilot project in 2026 and commercialize the system across hospitals by 2027. Selvas AI plans to develop an AI medical record system optimized for hospital environments by refining its medical domain-specific voice and language models based on medical data held by Baekjungang Medical Center and feedback from medical staff.
The core of this project is the application of Selvas AI's medically specialized voice recognition technology to actual clinical settings. This technology will enable the automatic extraction and organization of key medical record items, such as SOAP (symptoms, test results, diagnosis, and treatment plan) and MIVT (accident scene and patient information), based solely on conversations between medical staff and patients. Furthermore, a medically specialized large-scale language model (LLM) will be applied to automatically identify critical items and support integration with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Selvas AI already supplies its solutions to the "Big 5" hospitals, including major general hospitals in Korea. With the introduction of its AI medical voice recognition technology at Busan Baek Hospital, the company plans to expand its commercialization to major hospitals nationwide.
Yoon Jae-seon, head of Selvas AI's voice recognition business, said, "AI voice recording technology is developing in a way that reduces the administrative work of medical staff and increases treatment efficiency," and added, "We will continue to innovate smart hospitals through AI voice solutions optimized for the medical field."
