
ThorDrive (CEOs Dong-kyung Kye and Joo-hyun Lee), a company specializing in autonomous driving technology, announced that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Maroro Robot Tech (CEO Deok-geun Kim), a company specializing in industrial robot platforms, to jointly develop and commercialize a forklift-type AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) for indoor and outdoor logistics automation.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly develop indoor and outdoor AMRs and forklift-type AMRs that can be used in various logistics environments by combining Maroro Robot Tech's industrial robot and forklift manufacturing technology with ThorDrive's autonomous driving technology.
Through this agreement, the two companies will pursue the following initiatives: ▲joint design and development of indoor and outdoor forklift-type AMRs; ▲application of end-to-end driving technology to optimize indoor and outdoor driving; and ▲joint exploration of domestic and international logistics and manufacturing field demonstrations and business opportunities. Through these efforts, the two companies aim to enhance the efficiency and safety of logistics automation and strengthen their foundation for entry into the global market.
Kim Deok-geun, CEO of Maroro Robot Tech, said, “This collaboration is the first step toward jointly building an automation solution that encompasses both indoor and outdoor logistics environments,” and added, “We will focus on developing products that can be utilized in various industrial settings.”
