Brils and Incheon Sign MOU to Foster and Develop the Robotics Industry

Robot automation solution company Brils announced on the 30th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for ‘mutual cooperation for fostering and developing the Incheon robot industry’ at the ‘Incheon Robot Industry Innovation Growth Policy Announcement’ event held at the Cheongna Robot Tower in Incheon on the 29th.

This event, hosted by Incheon Metropolitan City and organized by Incheon Technopark, was designed to announce mid- to long-term development policies for Incheon's robotics industry and establish a cooperative industrial ecosystem. Approximately 100 people attended, including Incheon Metropolitan City Vice Mayor Ha Byung-pil, Jeon Jin, CEO of Brils, and representatives from robotics companies, universities, research institutes, and associations.

The agreement brought together 13 participating organizations, including robotics companies Brils, Now Robotics, SPG, Yuil Robotics, Yujin Robot, and Tesolo, as well as Incheon National University, Inha University, the Korea Radio Promotion Association, the Korea Testing & Research Institute for Chemical Industry, Incheon Metropolitan City, Incheon Urban Development Corporation, and Incheon Technopark. The participating organizations will jointly promote the establishment of a cooperative network and the revitalization of the industrial ecosystem for the sustainable growth of Incheon's robotics industry.

The main areas of cooperation include ▲establishing a cooperative network among industry, academia, research institutes, and government and operating a policy forum ▲supporting innovative growth of robotics companies and discovering customized businesses ▲training specialized personnel in conjunction with universities and research institutes ▲supporting testing and certification of robotics technology and joint use of research equipment.

Brils, a leading robotics system integration (SI) company, plans to strengthen its role as a key player within the Incheon Robotics Industry Cluster through this agreement. Brils will apply its robotics modularization platform technology to various industries and collaborate with participating organizations to increase the domestic production rate of robotics solutions and enhance technological competitiveness. Furthermore, it plans to cultivate practical robotics experts through joint research with Incheon National University and Inha University and field-oriented training programs.

At the event, Brils unveiled its "AI Safety Control Palletizing Solution." This solution, specialized for the logistics and manufacturing industries, combines real- and virtual-space fusion control, multi-object boundary detection, 3D vision-based loading pattern optimization, and intelligent workspace safety technology to enhance work efficiency and safety.

“It is meaningful to be able to participate in Incheon City’s robot industry policy promotion,” said Jeon Jin, CEO of Brils. “Based on Brils’ robot SI technology and know-how, we will cooperate with participating organizations to contribute to Incheon’s growth as the center of Korea’s robot industry.”
