
Rapique Co., Ltd. announced on the 30th that CEO Lee Beom-ju received the Presidential Citation for his contribution to the development of the small business industry at the 'K-TECH INSIDE SHOW 2025 (Small Business and Root Technology Exhibition)' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
This award recognizes the contributions of companies and individuals to the development of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises and the root industry, with contributions to strengthening national technological competitiveness and innovation in the industrial ecosystem as key criteria.
Since its founding in 2017, Rafiq, a cosmetics R&D company, has established a technology platform for cosmetics raw materials utilizing plants, food byproducts, and marine resources. The company has been recognized for its contributions to domestic raw material self-sufficiency, import substitution, and export expansion through its unique technologies, including plant softening technology (SofTech™), softening plant bioconversion technology (SoftFerm™), upcycling beauty (Upcycling Beauty™), and upcycled exosomes (Upcycled Exosome™).
In his acceptance speech, CEO Lee Beom-ju said, “The value of the sustainable cosmetics raw material technology development and upcycled material commercialization that Rafiq has been pursuing has been recognized,” and “We will continue to contribute to the advancement of the small business industry and the strengthening of the global competitiveness of K-beauty.”
