Hecto Financial (CEO Choi Jong-won) received the 'Financial Services Commission Chairman's Award' in the innovative finance sector in recognition of its contribution to the development of the financial industry at the 10th 'Finance Day' commemoration ceremony held at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeouido on the 28th.
The Financial Services Commission's "Finance Day" ceremony is held every October to raise public awareness of finance and to encourage organizations and individuals who have contributed to the development of finance.
Hecto Financial received this award in recognition of its contributions to the structural transformation of the financial market by introducing innovative financial services, including Korea's first virtual account-based payments, firm banking, and simple cash payments, and by establishing a foundation for market standardization and automation. Beginning with its virtual account service in 2002, the company is now a fintech company possessing the core technologies for all payment methods, including simple cash payments, PG, firm banking, and mobile payments.
Additionally, efforts to improve public service efficiency and expand access to digital finance were also recognized as key achievements. Hecto Financial supports real-time payments of local taxes and other financial services through its local government-specific payment platform, "G Banking." It also supports access to digital finance for everyone through barrier-free kiosks and virtual account-based financial services.
Choi Jong-won, CEO of Hecto Financial, said, “Since our founding, we have continued to innovate for payment convenience for various industries and financial consumers for 25 years,” and added, “We will continue to provide safe and convenient financial services and introduce differentiated innovative services through the convergence of new technologies and finance.”
