Lounge X signs business agreement with XYG

AI robot cafe brand LoungeX and robotics technology company XYZ announced on the 29th that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the commercialization and expansion of unmanned robot cafes.

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to fully implement an unmanned robot cafe model based on over 700,000 customer order data and expand the business with the goal of opening 100 stores by 2026.

This agreement focuses on advancing the fully unmanned operation system of the robot cafe. Lounge X plans to expand its fully unmanned store model, minimizing dependence on human labor during peak hours, by automating the entire process from ordering to manufacturing and serving, centered around a system in which robot baristas operate.

Lounge X's core technology, "Baris Brew," is an all-in-one robot café solution that integrates manufacturing, serving, and interaction functions. It features a fully automated structure that operates without human intervention from ordering to beverage delivery. Currently, over 700,000 actual order data have been accumulated, and based on this, the precision of the robot's movements and customer response algorithms have been improved, implementing a system that maintains consistent quality and efficiency even in unmanned stores.

Xyzy is developing unmanned store solutions centered on physical AI technologies, including robot vision, artificial intelligence (AI), and human-robot interaction (HRI). Specifically, it is combining robotic sensors, vision recognition technology, and real-time in-store operational data to achieve autonomous operation without the need for human intervention.

XYG CEO Hwang Seong-jae said, “This will be a turning point where the robot cafe solution, which has been introduced mainly for companies, will expand to stores targeting general consumers,” and added, “We will create a new space model that increases manpower efficiency while maintaining customer experience through AI and robot technology.”

Lounge X CEO Kim Dong-jin said, “As the labor shortage and operating cost burden have increased recently, the demand for fully unmanned store solutions is rapidly increasing,” and “Based on proven robotic automation technology and accumulated operational data, we will strengthen stability and profitability in terms of investment and startup.”
