Yullab Unveils AI Pansori Learning App at the 10th Seoul Future Conference

Yullab (CEO Lee Na-young), a company specializing in AI digitalization of traditional Korean music, announced that it will unveil its self-developed AI pansori learning app, ‘PansoriGO,’ at the ‘Pan’ concert, a special session of ‘AX KOREA The Next Future’ hosted by the Seoul Shinmun on November 5th.

Held in the courtyard of the Shilla Hotel's Yeongbin Hall in Seoul, this session, themed "Where the Most Traditional Meets the Most Modern – The Encounter of Korean Traditional Music and AI," will explore the potential for digital transformation of traditional art forms. At the event, Yullab will present a pre-produced video demonstrating its "SORI:ON" platform, which analyzes and digitizes the sounds, rhythms, and expressions of pansori so that they can be learned by AI, as well as the learning flow and feedback method of "Pansorigo," developed based on this platform.

The session will feature a live performance by South Korean pansori master Wang Ki-cheol, followed by a forum discussion featuring experts including Professor Seo Han-beom (Korean Traditional Music), master singer Wang Ki-cheol, and Director Lee Jang-woo (STRA). The forum will discuss the role of AI in the preservation and educational application of traditional arts. Yullab CEO Lee Na-young will serve as moderator.

Inayoung Lee, CEO of Yullab, said, “We want to present the future language of Korean traditional music by recording and sharing the skills of famous singers as data,” and “Through ‘Pansorigo,’ we plan to demonstrate the possibility of digital standardization and a new approach to learning traditional Korean music.”
