Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok X Scaleup Center Concludes '3rd Scaleup Week'

Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok and Scale-up Center (hereinafter referred to as Seoul Startup Hub) announced on October 22 that it had concluded the 3rd Scale-up Week, which supports startups in attracting investment, with 11 participating companies.

This event, held over three days from October 20th to 22nd, was a customized investment matching program that leveraged the Seoul Startup Hub Scaleup Center's membership pool (VCs, ACs, investment-related organizations, etc.) to support incubation companies in attracting investment. Held monthly since August of this year, this is the third such event.

Scale-Up Week is a joint event between the Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok and the Scale-Up Center. Gongdeok is responsible for identifying investment needs for startups, while the Scale-Up Center provides membership support and one-on-one investment consultations. Both organizations closely support startups throughout the entire investment process for scale-up, expanding the investment base for growth-stage companies.

The companies participating in this year's Scale-Up Week were selected through an open recruitment process among incubated and graduate companies from the Seoul Startup Hubs in Gongdeok, Seongsu, and Changdong, and the Startup Center in Dongjak, who were in demand for investment. A total of 11 promising startups were ultimately selected through a Scale-Up Center membership screening process.

The selected companies were provided with practical investment opportunities through 11 matching consultations with venture capital (VC) and startup/investment institutions, taking into account factors such as industry sector, investment stage, and growth potential.

In the gaming and content sectors, companies like DevUnlimit (CEO Jeong Gyu-min), TheJaemi (CEO Kwak Seung-jae), and ConnectBrick (CEO Jang Hong-seok) held investment meetups with Capstone Partners. Additionally, startups in AI, agrotech, fintech, and ICT explored investment opportunities through one-on-one consultations with companies like Aventures and TS Investment.

A representative from the Seoul Startup Hub said, “ScaleUp Week is establishing itself as a program that allows startups in the growth stage to directly connect with suitable investors,” and added, “We will continue to actively support the scale-up of startups in the Seoul area by revitalizing the investment ecosystem.”

Meanwhile, Seoul Startup Hub, Seoul's representative startup support organization, comprehensively supports the nurturing, growth, and investment attraction of excellent startups in Seoul.
