Lightning Market Obtains ISMS Certification for 5 Consecutive Years

Tech recommerce platform Beongaejangteo announced on the 23rd that it has received official Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification from the Ministry of Science and ICT for five consecutive years.

ISMS certification is a national certification system where certification agencies, such as the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), review the overall information protection and personal information management system to verify the security and reliability of key information assets. Bbaengjangteo has met these standards for five consecutive years, demonstrating its capabilities in protecting personal information and establishing a safe transaction environment.

Since August 2024, Lightning Market has implemented an escrow-based secure payment system for all transactions. It also operates a service that utilizes an AI monitoring system to detect suspected fraudulent transactions in real time and provide notifications to buyers. These efforts have resulted in a reduction in fraudulent transactions by over 90% and a more than doubling of transaction volume.

Additionally, at the recently held "2025 Counterfeit Goods Appraisal Technology Conference," Binge Market unveiled "Corelytics," a convergence AI scientific inspection solution leveraging deep learning and non-destructive analysis techniques. This technology can quickly and accurately identify high-precision counterfeit goods by identifying microscopic components and elemental composition in just six seconds.

Park Byeong-seong, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Beongaejangteo, said, “We are doing our best to protect information and prevent fraud so that customers can trade safely and conveniently.” He added, “We will continue to strengthen our management system based on ISMS certification and grow into a trusted platform by introducing innovative technologies such as Corelytics.”
