Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center Signs MOU with Changwon National University

Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Noh Chung-sik) and Changwon National University (President Park Min-won) announced that they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and AI Transformation (AX), corporate support, and talent development at the Changwon National University headquarters at 4:00 PM on October 20.

This agreement is part of industry-academia cooperation aimed at addressing the needs of local industries for AI and digital transformation. The two institutions will collaborate to enhance the competitiveness of local companies and foster an AI industry ecosystem through joint research and business development, AI-based talent development programs, and technology and information exchange.

According to the agreement, the two organizations plan to carry out joint projects in various fields, including ▲planning AI·AX-related technology support and human resource development programs, ▲operating AI·AX technology utilization programs for local companies and startups, ▲discovering innovation models based on industry-academia-research cooperation, ▲exchanging professional personnel and holding joint training and seminars, and ▲discovering and promoting other cooperative projects.

Noh Chung-sik, head of the Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center, said, “Gyeongnam has an environment where high-quality industrial data can be accumulated based on its manufacturing-centered industrial structure,” and added, “We will lay the foundation for driving real change and innovation in industrial settings by fostering AI talent.”

Park Min-won, President of Changwon National University, said, “This agreement will serve as an opportunity to strengthen practical connections between local industry and academia,” and added, “We will actively support the cultivation of specialized talent and corporate innovation suited to the era of AI and digital transformation.”

Meanwhile, starting with this business agreement, the two organizations plan to establish a regional AI·AX industry-academia-research cooperation model and contribute to strengthening the technological competitiveness of local companies and creating an innovation ecosystem through step-by-step joint programs.
