Wadiz Announces Korea-Based Asia Expansion Strategy at the 2025 Hong Kong Electronics Fair

Crowdfunding platform Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung) announced on the 17th that it participated as a representative Korean speaker at the '2025 Hong Kong Electronics Fair (HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair)' held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 13th to 16th and announced its strategy to expand into the Asian market.

This year's 45th edition of the expo, themed "World's Leading Electronics Marketplace," showcased products and solutions across a wide range of technologies, including AI, robotics, the silver economy, and digital entertainment. According to the organizers, approximately 3,000 exhibitors from 20 countries participated, and approximately 120 buyer teams comprised of overseas distributors and retailers visited the event.

Wadiz presented at the "E-Commerce Trends in Asia" session. Jang Han-eul, Head of Overseas Business, stated in his presentation, "A valid strategy is to first verify product marketability through domestic funding and then use that as a foundation to expand into Asia." The presentation also showcased Wadiz's global expansion support features, including AI-based translation and global payment and delivery infrastructure.

The session also featured presentations and discussions on Asian e-commerce trends and cross-border entry strategies, with participation from China's JD, Southeast Asian e-commerce platform Lazada, and global marketing company Pepita Group.

Wadiz officially launched its global service in May of this year and has currently completed approximately 370 global projects. Its accumulated international membership reaches approximately 14,000 across 115 countries. The platform offers a variety of features for entering overseas markets, including AI-based automatic translation, overseas shipping, and global advertising support.

At the end of September, the platform's functionality was improved to allow overseas makers to directly create and operate projects. This enhancement included enhanced localization features, including language selection for project details pages, operating time zones, and currency settings.

The company plans to use this exhibition as an opportunity to increase Wadiz's brand awareness in the Asian market and expand its collaboration opportunities with makers and partners from various countries.
