Adin Robotics (CEO Choi Hyuk-ryeol and Lee Yun-haeng) , a robot parts and solutions specialist, announced on the 15th that it had been selected as a joint research institute for the national AI multi-agent system project, which is part of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's M.AX project.
This project, themed "Development and Demonstration of Die Casting Process Intelligence Technology through Quality Prediction, Defect Diagnosis, and Precision Machining Automation Based on Heterogeneous Data Linkage and Analysis and AI Multi-Agent System," will be conducted until 2028 with a total project cost of KRW 5.9 billion (KRW 3.5 billion in government subsidies). Adin Robotics will participate in the joint research with Konek Co., Ltd., Korea Automotive Research Institute, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, and Sogang University.
For this project, Adin Robotics will focus on developing AI-based robotic automation solutions, particularly for automating the mold deburring process, which requires high skill and irregular trajectories. To achieve this, Adin Robotics will develop an AI-generated model that simulates human behavior and force data, and combine vision recognition and ultra-sensitive force control technology to build a multitasking automation system. The developed solution will undergo a field validation phase and be immediately implemented in manufacturing.
Meanwhile, Aiden Robotics has already automated surface treatment processes with its AIRO-One solution, which leverages its 6-axis force and torque sensor technology. Last June, the company was selected as an AI factory specialist by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Through this project, Aiden Robotics expects to expand its business from developing sensor-based components for robots to manufacturing automation solutions, generating tangible results.
Lee Yoon-haeng, CEO of Adin Robotics, said, “Through this project, we will be able to expand the force sensing technology we have accumulated into manufacturing automation solutions,” and “By incorporating AI technology, we will complete the optimal solution that will allow customers to experience immediate productivity improvements in the field.”
