Classum Introduces AI Undergraduate Counseling System at Seoul Women's University

AI-based learning platform Classum (Co-CEOs Chae-rin Lee and Yu-jin Choi) announced on the 14th that it has introduced the AI undergraduate counseling system 'Classum Connect' to Seoul Women's University.

Prior to its official introduction, Seoul Women's University conducted a proof-of-concept (PoC) of Classum Connect to evaluate the system's response accuracy, performance, and user-friendliness. This process led to its official adoption. Notably, Classum Connect reportedly learned the university's unique academic terminology, abbreviations, and query patterns, demonstrating its ability to provide responses optimized for real-world environments.

Classum Connect is a generative AI-based solution that combines Large Language Models (LLM) and Augmented Search Generation (RAG) technology. It provides real-time answers to questions by linking internal university data, such as academic regulations, announcements, and FAQs. It also focuses on ensuring the reliability of its responses by providing relevant sources.

The system is also evaluated as having strengths in terms of continuous information maintenance, as it can automatically reflect the latest information when academic regulations change through an API-based automatic update function.

Seoul Women's University expects the introduction of this system to reduce the burden of counseling on faculty and staff and provide students with 24-hour access to academic counseling services. If the system operates stably, it is anticipated that it will be expanded to include AI advisors that analyze the type and context of inquiries and provide personalized counseling services.

Classum said, “Classum Connect focuses on using AI technology to streamline the repetitive and complex administrative and counseling tasks faced by educational institutions,” and added, “This introduction case will serve as an opportunity to confirm the possibility of expanding the AI-based academic counseling system.”

Meanwhile, Classum provides an AI-based communication and learning support platform to domestic and international educational institutions and companies, and is actively expanding the use of AI in the education sector through 'Classum Connect.'
