
Content tech company Fastview (CEO Park Sang-woo) has signed a distribution partnership with global Hallyu channel 'ZAPZEE' and is moving to expand the global distribution of K-content intellectual property (IP).
ZAPZEE is a leading English-language Korean Wave content channel, distributing content such as K-pop and K-dramas to key regions such as North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. It currently boasts approximately 14 million subscribers worldwide.
Through this partnership, Fastview becomes the first Korean content company to secure a direct distribution channel for K-content on a US-based social media platform. This has enabled the company to establish a business structure that extends beyond simple content operation to encompass content production, editing, distribution, and commerce.
ZAPZEE provides English-language content related to global artists like BTS and BLACKPINK, as well as fandom-focused content such as drama and movie reviews and star interviews. Fastview plans to leverage this platform to further refine K-pop content like music videos, performance footage, and interviews, expanding its monetization model. The company plans to expand its reach to include offline events, official merchandise (MD), and global licensing.
In particular, FastView plans to apply its AI-based content distribution solution, "ViewUs," to ZAPZEE to improve content recommendation precision and strengthen its personalized fan distribution strategy. ViewUs is a technology platform that analyzes 800 million monthly page views of social media data to automatically recommend content optimized for user interests. This allows it to deliver sophisticated user experiences, including recommendations for articles, short-form videos, and products based on content consumption data.
The company believes that this collaboration will serve as an opportunity to enhance its competitiveness in the global content distribution ecosystem through synergy between AI content technology, K-content IP, and commerce operation capabilities.
