Green Umbrella Children's Foundation (Chairman Hwang Young-ki), a child welfare organization, announced on the 2nd that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Shinhan Investment & Securities (CEO Lee Seon-hoon) to promote trust donations.
This agreement aims to expand and popularize donation methods utilizing trusts, enabling citizens to contribute their assets to society in a more systematic and sustainable manner. A trust donation is a method in which donors entrust their assets to a trust institution, such as a financial institution, for management and operation, and then donate the profits or principal to public benefit causes.
Through this agreement, the two organizations will establish various types of trust donation products, including ▲testamentary trusts and ▲general trust donations, and cooperate in establishing an institutional foundation and raising awareness so that the public can more easily participate in these donation methods.
The Green Umbrella Children's Foundation carries out child support projects using donations designated according to the donor's wishes, and Shinhan Investment & Securities is responsible for establishing related systems and providing practical support so that customers can donate to the foundation through trusts.
Green Umbrella expects that this agreement will serve as an opportunity to encourage participation in various forms of donations in addition to existing regular donations.
