Smart mobility specialist Kanevi Mobility (CEO Jong-taek Jeong and Geun-baek Ahn) recently announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Bangli District of Bali, Indonesia, state-owned enterprise BMB (Bhukti Mukti Bhakti), and project partner PT GMS Invest International for the development of the Lake Batur (Danau Batur) tourist destination.

This agreement was signed as part of a project to develop Lake Batur, a representative natural tourist destination in Bali, into an eco-friendly, international tourist destination, with the goal of fostering mutual growth with the local community and establishing a foundation for a sustainable tourism industry.

Under the agreement, Canebi Mobility will provide eco-friendly transportation and leisure infrastructure, including electric propulsion ships, electric tourist trains, and sky capsules. The company also plans to introduce its electric vehicle technology and operational expertise acquired in the Korean smart mobility sector.

The strategy aims to increase visitor stays while simultaneously creating local jobs and revitalizing the economy. The signing ceremony was attended by Bangli County Mayor SN Sedana Arta, along with representatives from BMB and PT GMS Invest International. Plans for further development of the tourism industry through long-term partnerships were also discussed.

“Lake Batur is a region with high growth potential in terms of the tourism industry,” said Jeong Jong-taek, CEO of Kanevi Mobility. “We will contribute to introducing smart tourism infrastructure in Indonesia based on eco-friendly mobility technology.”
