Senior care specialist company Caring (CEO Taeseong Kim) announced on the 1st that its directly managed facility, Caring Day Care Center Gwangju Seogu Branch, received a commendation from the Mayor of Gwangju Metropolitan City at the '29th Senior Citizens' Day Commemoration Ceremony' held on the 30th of last month.
Senior Citizens' Day is a statutory commemorative day established by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 1997 to increase social awareness of the elderly and to honor and express respect for them.
At this ceremony, Gwangju Metropolitan City awarded awards for its contributions to senior welfare to 15 individuals and five organizations and groups that have contributed to addressing senior issues and improving quality of life. The Caring Gwangju Seo-gu branch received the award in recognition of its contributions to the local community through care for seniors living alone, development of senior leisure culture, and support for volunteer activities.
The Gwangju Seo-gu branch operates senior-tailored health care services, including beauty and spa, smart cognitive and rehabilitation programs, and promotes convenience for seniors and their guardians through the "Caring Hospital Companion Peace of Mind Partner" service, in which a nursing professional accompanies them to hospital treatment.
“This award is thanks to the support of seniors and the local community,” said Mara Young, director of the Caring Gwangju Seo-gu branch. “We will continue to strengthen the professionalism of our care facilities and improve the quality of our services to create an environment where seniors can use our services with peace of mind.”
