
The Gyeongbuk Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (hereinafter referred to as the Gyeongbuk Center) announced that it held the '2025 K-Startup Global Expansion Support Japan (Gyeongbuk with POSCO International)' program in Osaka, Japan for three nights and four days from September 22nd to 25th in cooperation with POSCO International.
This program was conducted for 10 domestic small and medium-sized enterprises and venture companies possessing excellent technologies that hope to enter the global market. Activities included one-on-one business meetings with local Japanese buyers and IR pitching to local investors.
A total of 66 one-on-one buyer meetings were held with 33 local buyers, and the startups engaged in investment attraction activities with five investment firms during IR pitching sessions. Some companies are currently in the process of conducting follow-up meetings and discussing sample contracts, which are expected to lead to tangible business results.
Kyungbuk Center Director Yoo Ju-hyun said, “Osaka, Japan, is a region with geographical proximity to Korea and a market characterized by developed manufacturing and distribution industries. This program is significant in that it establishes a strategic base for local advancement.” He added, “We will actively support participating companies in achieving export and investment attraction results through 1:1 consultations and IR pitching.”
A POSCO International official said, “Since 2021, we have been carrying out various support activities to promote mutually beneficial cooperation with small and medium-sized enterprises,” and “Through collaboration with the Osaka branch, we plan to continue to support participating companies so that they can create tangible business results in the Japanese market.”
