SLW Lab Presents Case Study at the Urban Innovation Governance Forum at the 2025 World City Tech Expo

SLW Lab (CEO Yong-Seok Lee), a city data-based solution company, announced on the 26th that it participated in the 'Urban Innovation Governance Forum' of the '2025 World CITYTech Expo' held at KINTEX in Goyang on the 25th and presented cases and held discussions.

World City Tech Expo is the largest urban technology exhibition in the Seoul metropolitan area. Under the slogan "Better Cities, Better Lives," the event showcases technologies and policies for future cities, including digital twins, smart mobility, and eco-friendly energy. In addition to the exhibition, the event also features various supporting programs, including forums, corporate briefings, export consultations, and startup IR pitching.

At the forum, CEO Lee Yong-seok presented on the topic of "Sustainable Urban Innovation Where Data and Collaboration Come Alive." He shared examples of citizen-participatory policy models and data governance design using public data, suggesting, "We need to move beyond a numerical approach to urban data and approach it with the concept of 'data personas,' reflecting the context and experiences of citizens."

The ensuing discussion explored ways to quantify citizen-perceived factors, such as spatial convenience, movement patterns, and accessibility to living facilities. CEO Lee Yong-seok stated, "We need to collect and index spatial data closely related to daily life on-site. This can help cities design policies and services tailored to the needs of their citizens."

SLU Lab is currently working on various projects that integrate public data, location information, and user experience-based data to address urban challenges. The company explained that this forum reaffirmed the need for citizen-centered data utilization strategies and collaborative governance.

Meanwhile, in addition to CEO Lee Yong-seok, this Urban Innovation Governance Forum also featured speakers including Professor Fernando Villariño of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Kim So-young, CEO of the Maumdot Sallim Cooperative, and Fauzan Elham, CEO of SIC Digital Limited. Seong Ji-eun, a research fellow at the Science and Technology Policy Institute, moderated the session.
