AI and cloud company MegaZone Cloud (CEO Dong-Hoon Yeom) announced on the 25th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with global digital transformation solution company PTC Korea (CEO Do-Kyun Kim) to accelerate digital innovation in the manufacturing industry.
On the 24th, the two companies signed an MOU at the Gwacheon Megazone Industry-Academia-Research Center on the topic of "Cooperation to Accelerate Digital Transformation of Manufacturing Based on Cloud and Physical AI," and agreed to cooperate in the fields of digital transformation of manufacturing companies based on cloud and AI, as well as joint development and field application of physical AI.
PTC Korea provides a variety of manufacturing solutions, including the product lifecycle management (PLM) solution 'Windchill', application lifecycle management (ALM), Internet of Things (IoT), computer-aided design (CAD), and service lifecycle management (SLM), supporting the entire process from product design to production and service for manufacturing customers.
Under this agreement, PTC Korea will provide its core solutions to Megazone Cloud, which will then optimize these solutions for cloud-based delivery to manufacturing companies. This will enable customers to perform integrated management from product design through production and service, leveraging IoT data to implement and operate production sites as digital twins.
The two companies also plan to jointly develop physical AI technology specialized for manufacturing sites and expand collaboration on its application in real-world environments. Physical AI is a technology that improves productivity and safety by analyzing real-time data from physical environments, including robots, equipment, and sensors. This technology is expected to contribute to problem-solving and operational optimization in manufacturing settings, such as automatically adjusting production line speeds, detecting quality anomalies, and monitoring worker safety.
“MegaZone Cloud’s AI and cloud expertise will play a key role in AI-based, enterprise-wide innovation in the manufacturing industry,” said Kim Do-gyun, CEO of PTC Korea. “This collaboration will strengthen PTC’s vision of an intelligent product lifecycle.”
MegaZone Cloud Chairman Lee Ju-wan said, “Through our collaboration with PTC Korea, we will be able to expand automation and AI applications in the manufacturing industry.” He added, “Based on the capabilities and solutions of both companies, we will create a manufacturing innovation ecosystem that combines cloud and AI, and create a service that provides integrated support to the global production bases of domestic manufacturers.”
