
Modusign (CEO Lee Young-jun), which provides electronic contract and electronic signature services, won the Minister of Public Administration and Security Award in the climate response category at the '2025 Republic of Korea Urban and Regional Innovation Awards' hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
This award was primarily based on the reduction in paper use, greenhouse gas emissions, and resource waste through the digital transformation of contracting and signing processes.
Modusign has contributed to reducing environmental impact through its electronic signature solution, including reducing contract printing and output, reducing fuel costs and carbon emissions associated with mail and courier delivery, and alleviating the burden of document storage and disposal. According to the company, the introduction of electronic contracts saves tens of millions of sheets of paper annually.
Modusign currently has over 320,000 customers and has accumulated over 40 million contracts. For corporate clients, it provides a "Contract Efficiency Performance Report," which quantifies the paper usage and cost savings achieved through contracts.
CEO Lee Young-jun stated, “This award is the result of an evaluation of environmental and social values through a digital contract system,” and added, “We plan to create sustainable value in the future through digital administrative innovation, expansion of ESG, and advancement of AI-based contract management.”
Meanwhile, Modusign, an electronic contract solutions company that has supported the digital transformation of public institutions and private companies, is currently working on enhancing its contract lifecycle management solution based on generative AI and document analysis technologies. Key features include automated contract classification, risk detection, and condition summary technology that automates the entire contracting process.
