Impactus (CEO Kim Bo-kyung), an edutech company that operates 'Impact Space', a student-tailored class operation and evaluation solution, announced on the 24th that it has registered a patent for 'AI-based digital learning and evaluation method and device'.
Impact Space is an integrated solution that supports the entire digital learning process, from course creation to assessment and feedback. Since its official launch in 2024, approximately 5,000 students at 129 schools nationwide have utilized the solution.
The patent registered this time is a technology that automates and optimizes the entire class and evaluation process by utilizing generative AI and multimodal analysis technology. The main contents include ▲automatic creation of AI-based learning achievement and evaluation criteria ▲summarization and organization of learning data ▲automatic derivation of customized evaluation results for each student, etc.
Prior to patent registration, Impactus conducted a demonstration of the technology in actual schools, and announced that the process resulted in a reduction of the time teachers spend evaluating students and writing student records by an average of more than 40%.
Based on this patent registration, the company plans to accelerate its expansion into the public education market to reduce teachers' administrative burden and support the creation of an efficient digital learning environment.
“Impact Space is a solution suitable for process-centered assessment, and has the strength of providing personalized feedback and outcomes to students,” said Moon Sung-jae, Tech Lead at Impactus. “We will continue to advance our technology to meet the needs of the educational field and policy changes.”
