Vision AI specialist company SeeLab announced on the 24th that it will join the 'Korea Physical AI Association', which will be officially launched in October.
The Korea Physical AI Association (KPA) is a privately-led organization approved by the Ministry of Science and ICT. It was established with the goal of promoting and developing the physical AI industry. The association promotes the creation of a collaborative physical AI ecosystem encompassing industry, academia, and government through policy proposals and budgetary reflection, the development of a VLA simulator platform and demonstration projects, and global collaboration initiatives.
Seelab plans to lead demonstration projects centered on its Vision AI technology and expand industry-specific references. Using AI image analysis technology, the company will verify and interpret various objects and scenes in real time, providing a foundation for visual perception, including obstacle avoidance, path planning, and situational awareness for robots.
In particular, a multimodal architecture is implemented, utilizing over 130 proprietary Vision Language Models (VLMs) to analyze and understand complex data generated in industrial settings in real time. Seelab's vision AI model is embedded on-device, establishing a decision-making system that can rapidly and continuously improve autonomy and judgment in real-world environments.
This allows robots and physical systems in various industrial settings to autonomously make decisions and act in real-time situations, reducing work delays and ensuring operational efficiency and stability simultaneously.
Through its participation in this association, SeeLab plans to advance its core vision AI technologies and accelerate innovation across high value-added industries, including manufacturing, semiconductors, smart factories, and robotics, by collaborating with various companies to leverage its accumulated technology references.
Yoon Se-hyeok, CEO of C-Lab, said, “Physical AI is a new paradigm where the real physical world and AI interact,” and added, “C-Lab will contribute to establishing the foundation of the physical AI ecosystem by developing industry-specific models based on field verification based on vision AI technology.”
