Secondhand transaction platform Joonggonara (CEO Choi In-wook) announced that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Korea Association for ICT Promotion (KAIT) for ‘creating a sound secondhand device distribution environment and cooperation in digital innovation projects.’
The signing ceremony was held on the morning of September 18th at the Joonggonara headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with the attendance of key officials from both companies, including Joonggonara CEO Choi In-wook and KAIT Executive Vice President Lee Chang-hee.
This agreement aims to create a safe environment for used phone transactions, protect user rights, and establish a cooperative system for developing digital innovation projects. By combining their respective technologies and expertise, both companies plan to collaborate to create an environment where users can trade and use digital devices with confidence.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ user protection and promotion of rights to create a sound used device distribution environment ▲ establishment of a system to prevent lost and stolen device transactions ▲ joint promotion of digital innovation projects and activation of exchanges.
Specifically, we plan to strengthen guidance on the "Secure Used Phone Transaction Certification System" and the "Secure Used Device Transaction Confirmation Service" within the Junggonara platform, and expand product exposure for certified businesses, among other activities to provide a transparent and trustworthy environment for used device transactions.
In particular, as smartphones are the most actively traded core category on Junggonara, this agreement is expected to significantly contribute to reducing user anxiety about used device transactions and activating a safe transaction system.
In-wook Choi, CEO of Joonggonara, said, “In the rapidly growing used phone trading market, securing consumer trust and establishing a safe trading environment are the most important tasks,” and added, “Through this agreement, we will work with KAIT to establish the foundation for a sound used device trading ecosystem and provide a service environment where users can trade with confidence.”
