Creative art tech company WillU Entertainment (CEO Lim Hyeon-tae) announced on the 16th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Baekseok Arts University (President Yoon Mi-ran) to foster specialized talent in the field of K-dance.
This agreement was signed at 10:00 AM on the 15th during the opening ceremony of Baekseok Arts University's school enterprise 'BAU DREAM' held at Baekseok Vision Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate in ▲training practical K-POP dance experts ▲developing digital convergence content ▲developing global experiential tourism products ▲revitalizing local culture, etc.
WillU Entertainment plans to operate a next-generation, practical dance education program by linking its DanceCode platform and Purple Studio's technological prowess with Baekseok Arts University's educational system. This program will allow students to directly experience and utilize platforms utilized in real-world industries during their training.
Dancecode is Korea's largest comprehensive dance platform, offering diverse features such as event registration, dancer archiving, and live streaming. Building on its experience operating over 100 dance events annually, the platform is also building a dancer support system and global network.
Additionally, Purple Studio provides a dance content production environment based on large LED walls, media art, and live streaming technology, allowing students to experience the entire process of producing K-POP music videos firsthand.
The two sides plan to jointly develop experiential Hallyu tourism products, such as K-pop dance classes, idol experiences, and music video production for foreign tourists, to promote entry into the global market and revitalize local cultural tourism.
Lim Hyeon-tae, CEO of Will You Entertainment, said, “This agreement is a practical model of industry-academia cooperation that can bring about changes to the entire K-dance industry ecosystem beyond simple educational cooperation,” and added, “We will continue to cooperate to cultivate K-dance experts who are competitive on the global stage.”
Moon Byeong-sun, Dean of the Department of Practical Dance at Baekseok Arts University, said, “Through the cooperation between the two institutions, students will be able to acquire the practical skills required in the industrial field,” and added, “We will do our best to cultivate talent who will contribute to the spread of K-culture.”
