Poonglim Pharmaceutical (CEO Lee Jeong-seok) announced that it received the Korea Federation of SMEs Award for ‘2025 Excellent Succession Company’ at the ‘2025 Corporate Succession Hope Forum’ held at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Busan on the 8th.
Poonglim Pharmaceutical received the award in recognition of its company-wide innovations in sustainable management, including: ensuring job security, expanding family-friendly systems, establishing a mutually beneficial labor-management culture, and realizing social value, all based on responsible management succession between generations. A total of ten companies, including Poonglim Pharmaceutical, received the award this year.
The '2025 Corporate Succession Hope Forum', where this awards ceremony was held, is a place where first and second generations of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can come together to share successful succession cases and discuss ways to improve the system. It was created to seek sustainable growth and a vision for the future of SMEs.
Poonglim Pharmaceutical CEO Lee Jeong-seok said in his acceptance speech, “With our 51-year history, we will strive to make a new leap forward toward becoming a company that will last for the next 100 years,” and “We will do our best to fulfill our corporate social responsibility and achieve sustainable growth.”
Meanwhile, since its establishment in 1974, Poonglim Pharmaceutical has grown into a high-value-added raw material trading company and a high-quality pharmaceutical manufacturer, guided by the founding principles of its predecessor, Lee Jung-chul. Currently, the company is strengthening its global partnerships and ongoing research and development efforts, while also preparing for the groundbreaking of a new plant in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, laying the foundation for future growth.
