Analog Plus has been selected as a demonstration company in the smart helmet field for its "development and demonstration of AX devices based on domestically produced AI semiconductors."

Analog Plus Co., Ltd. (CEO Jaeheung Park) announced on the 15th that it was selected as a demonstration company in the smart helmet field for the 'Domestic AI Semiconductor-based AX Device Development and Demonstration' project hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Institute of Information and Communications Technology Planning and Evaluation (IITP).

This national project aims to develop and demonstrate the application of domestically produced AI semiconductors to various next-generation devices, enabling them to operate AI functions autonomously without a network connection. The demonstration targets six areas: police and safety smart helmets, drone mission cameras, autonomous poultry management robots, commercial cleaning robots, barista water purifiers, and smart glasses. Analog Plus was tasked with demonstrating the "police smart helmet."

Analog Plus, a company that emerged from Samsung Electronics' in-house venture program, "C-Lab," has steadily released a line of smart helmets, beginning with the vibrator-based communication device "AHEAD" in 2016. The company has expanded its presence in both domestic and international markets through its bicycle, ski, and bike helmet brand, "CRNK." Recently, the company has also achieved success in the procurement market through collaborations with public institutions.

The police smart helmet, the subject of this demonstration, features features such as facial recognition-based wanted person identification, rear-facing vehicle detection, and voice recognition-based hands-free communication. Notably, its on-device AI approach, which processes AI calculations within the device, enables real-time information processing and rapid response in the field.

Analog Plus plans to use this demonstration project as an opportunity to verify the applicability of its technology in the domestic security and public safety sectors, and based on this, to expand into the global market.

CEO Park Jae-heung stated, “We will contribute to improving on-site response capabilities through demonstration of smart helmets for police use and strengthen K-Helmet’s global competitiveness based on helmet technology based on on-device AI.”
