Gigalane Selected for the 2025 Space Environment Testing Support Project

Giga Lane, a company specializing in RF connectors and cables, announced on the 15th that it had been selected for the '2025 Space Environment Testing Support Project' hosted by the Korea Aerospace Technology Promotion Association.

The official name of this project is 'Screening and Qualification Test for Development of Space-Grade RF Cable Assembly and RF Connector', and the project is scheduled to run until December 17th.

Based on the testing and certification results obtained through this project, Gigalane plans to collaborate with key clients on various satellite development projects. Gigalane expects this will lay the foundation for its space-grade RF component technology to advance into global satellite projects.

In recent years, Gigalane has been pursuing entry into the space satellite industry, expanding its Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite project and satellite RF connector and cable business. Beyond its existing communications sector, the company is seeking to strengthen its technological competitiveness in the space and aviation sectors.

The company already has a track record of supplying products to major domestic satellite development projects. Gigalane's RF connectors were adopted for the Next-Generation Small Satellite Project, a government project led by the KAIST Satellite Technology Research Institute, and are currently operating reliably.

This experience is evaluated as a case that proves that Gigarain's products have secured reliability even in extreme space environments, and increases the possibility of expansion into various fields such as communication and exploration satellites and defense industry satellites in the future.

Gigalane currently maintains cooperative relationships with a number of satellite development organizations, including KAIST, and is continuously expanding the application of its technology to supply space RF connectors and cables.

A Gigarain official stated, “By being selected for this space environment test project, Gigarain’s RF technology has been recognized for its technological reliability in the domestic space industry ecosystem,” and added, “We will continue to develop space components with stability and reliability to secure competitiveness in the global market.”
