Cloud native specialist company Acornsoft (CEO Youngsoo Lee) announced on the 12th that it won the 'First Mover Award' at the 'Open Cloud Platform Summit 2025'.
Hosted by the Open Cloud Platform Alliance (OPA), this awards ceremony recognizes companies and organizations that have contributed to the utilization of public cloud platforms (K-PaaS) and the expansion of the open cloud ecosystem. Acornsoft received the award in recognition of its achievements in building and operating a multi-hybrid cloud environment.
Acornsoft has supported the establishment of cloud environments across various sectors, including the public, education, and private sectors, based on its cloud-native platform, Cocktail Cloud. This platform is currently being used by public institutions such as the Korea Education and Research Information Service's AI digital textbooks, the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, Busan City Hall, and Gyeongbuk Provincial Office. Major domestic financial institutions and large corporations are also leveraging this platform for cloud migration and operations.
The company was evaluated to have improved service efficiency and stability in the K-PaaS environment through differentiated technological capabilities, including multi-cluster-based integrated management, an intuitive web-based operating environment, Kubernetes resource and security management functions, an advanced monitoring system, and GPU resource sharing functions between containers.
Lee Young-soo, CEO of Acornsoft, said, “This award is a result of our efforts to revitalize the open cloud ecosystem and advance digital infrastructure,” and added, “We will continue to lead the expansion of multi-cloud across both the public and private sectors, and focus on securing global competitiveness based on AI and cloud-native technologies.”
