Incheon Center Selects Five Startups to Participate in "Big Wave" in the Second Half of 2025

Five companies have been selected to participate in the second half of 2025 for the startup investment attraction platform 'BiiG WAVE' jointly operated by the Incheon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Lee Han-seop, hereinafter referred to as the Incheon Center) and Incheon Metropolitan City.

A total of 34 companies applied for this round, resulting in a competition rate of approximately 7:1. Final participants were selected through written and presentation evaluations, based on factors such as investment growth potential and experience working with large corporations. This cohort is notable for its proven marketability and technological prowess, including companies with a track record of open innovation, such as KT, Korean Air, Hansol PNS, and Kakao Mobility.

The selected companies possess technologies in bio, healthcare, artificial intelligence (AI), and deep tech, including real-time pet health analysis, an automated brand research platform, a digital transformation solution for aviation manuals, a cloud-based machine vision inspection system, and a data-driven content curation service. Some of these companies have already demonstrated their commercial viability by launching joint services with major corporations.

Selected companies will participate in a step-by-step program, including professional consulting-based corporate diagnosis, IR (investment attraction) capacity-building training, and investment networking events, starting September 6. They will also receive support for various investment opportunities, including funds operated by the Incheon Center.

Lee Han-seop, CEO of the Incheon Center, said, “BigWave has established itself as a leading platform that directly connects startups nationwide with the investment ecosystem,” and added, “In the second half of this year, we plan to expand our contact points with investors, focusing on companies that have proven both technological prowess and marketability.”

Meanwhile, Big Wave operates on the KRW 1 trillion "Incheon Big Wave Fund," jointly established by Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation. To date, it has supported 104 startups and attracted approximately KRW 150 billion in cumulative investment. It is also continuously expanding its business areas, including private investor relations and global investor relations.
