Freewillin Signs Business Agreement with Samyuk University

Edtech startup Freewillin (CEO Kwon Ki-seong) announced on September 10th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sahmyook University (President Je Hae-jong) to support AI-based educational innovation and personalized learning. Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to collaborate on the joint development of a university education model leveraging AI technology and the establishment of a personalized learning ecosystem.

Through this agreement, the two parties plan to pursue cooperation in various fields, including ▲ AI-based education platform innovation and infrastructure construction, ▲ implementation of customized learning content for Samyuk University, ▲ advancement of education services through joint industry-academia research, ▲ introduction of the latest education research and methodologies, and ▲ establishment of a joint development and operation system.

Freewillin provides a customized learning environment to Sahmyook University based on its AI-based university education platform, Pulley Campus. The platform provides instructors with tools for creating lecture notes and running classes, while students can enhance their self-directed learning abilities through personalized supplementary learning. Furthermore, Sahmyook University will implement learning designs tailored to the specific curriculum of their major, and instructors will be able to manage attendance, assessments, and achievements through a dashboard, enhancing the precision of their educational operations.

In particular, the "Pulicampus LMS" presented through this collaboration is a platform that integrates AI-tailored learning content with existing learning management system (LMS) functions. It organically connects learning activities between instructors and students, presenting a new model that complements the limitations of existing LMSs. Key features include basic academic assessment based on the AI Computerized Adaptive Test (AICAT), academic assistance for students entering without a major, and support for lecture material creation through a content editor and AI teaching assistant system. This allows instructors to focus on course design, while students receive personalized learning experiences within a blended learning environment.

Samyuk University President Je Hae-jong said, “We expect to accelerate educational innovation through the Fully Campus platform, which combines AI-based personalized learning with systematic learning management functions,” adding, “We hope that this model can be expanded to universities nationwide.”

“This agreement is a significant turning point in advancing our customized learning platform optimized for university education,” said Freewillin CEO Kwon Ki-seong. “It is significant in that we have begun our full-scale expansion into the university LMS market through Pulicampus LMS.”
