DLG Law Corporation (CEOs Wonhee Cho and Heechul Ahn) and Deloitte Korea Group announced on the 11th that they will co-host a seminar titled "Seminar for a Successful US IPO" at 2:00 PM on the 18th at Two IFC The Forum in Yeouido, Seoul. This seminar will primarily target Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) and finance executives of domestic companies preparing for or considering a US stock market listing.
Amidst the volatility of global capital markets and shifting investor expectations, Korean companies are actively seeking entry into the US stock market to expand their global investor base, enhance corporate value, and enhance brand awareness. However, US IPOs require thorough preparation, as they involve stringent accounting and disclosure standards, demanding regulations, and tax and legal issues related to corporate restructuring. This seminar will cover the US IPO process, key considerations, and strategies for successful entry into global capital markets.
The seminar will begin with opening remarks by Kang Sang-wook, Partner in the Audit Division at Deloitte Korea, and Cho Won-hee, Managing Partner at DLG Law Firm. In the first session, Jeremy Hurwitz, Deloitte US Cross-Border IPO Leader, will present on "Entering the US IPO Market – Opportunities and Challenges for Korean Companies." In the second session, Ha Sung-ho, Global IPO Partner at Deloitte Korea, will explain "Timelines and Checkpoints for a Successful US IPO." In the third session, Lee Shin-ho, International Tax Partner at Deloitte Korea, will address "Tax Checkpoints for Overseas Expansion and Overseas IPOs." In the final session, Ahn Hee-chul, Managing Partner at DLG Law Firm, will present on "Legal Issues and Strategies for Corporate Flips."
After the seminar, a Q&A session will be held between presenters and attendees, allowing participating companies to discuss practical issues and countermeasures they face during the IPO process with experts.
“A U.S. IPO is an important strategic choice for securing growth momentum and building global investor trust, but it involves complex legal procedures and regulatory issues,” said attorneys Wonhee Cho and Heechul Ahn. “DLG Law Firm will support the successful U.S. IPOs of domestic companies based on its accumulated experience in overseas transaction advisory and corporate legal affairs.”
