Innogrid Signs Business Agreement with SDT

Inogrid (CEO Myungjin Kim), a cloud computing and digital transformation (DT) specialist, announced on the 11th that it has signed a business agreement for 'hybrid quantum cloud development' with SDT (CEO Jiwon Yoon), a specialist in industrial DX solutions and quantum standard technology.

This agreement aims to combine the technological capabilities of both companies to jointly develop cloud services that combine classical and quantum computing, identify related business opportunities, and expand the industrial ecosystem. To achieve this, the companies have agreed to establish a collaborative system across various areas, including research and development (R&D), commercialization, and participation in government projects.

The signing ceremony was held at Innogrid headquarters, and was attended by representatives and key officials from both companies.

The agreement primarily focuses on integrating Innogrid's cloud-native technology with SDT's quantum hardware and software infrastructure. The two companies plan to enhance technological maturity by pursuing research and development of high-performance quantum middleware, joint development of hybrid classical-quantum computational architecture technology, and operation of a hybrid testbed based on a quantum simulator.

Additionally, during the commercialization phase, we plan to conduct industry-specific proofs of concept (PoCs) utilizing hybrid quantum clouds and expand marketing activities, including joint branding and participation in domestic and international exhibitions. We also plan to develop and introduce cloud managed service (MSP) and software-as-a-service (SaaS) models to the market.

The two companies will jointly participate in government R&D projects, including those of the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and plan to maximize synergy through linkage between InnoGrid's quantum computing research institute, the Quantum Cloud Innovation Center (QCIC), scheduled to open in September, and SDT's quantum research cluster.

Inogrid CEO Myungjin Kim said, “This agreement is the starting point for the development of a hybrid quantum cloud, and we will strengthen our cooperation with SDT to contribute to the advancement of the domestic quantum industry.”

SDT CEO Jiwon Yoon said, “Accessibility is key to developing a hybrid quantum cloud, and through this collaboration, we will provide an environment where anyone can easily utilize quantum computing.”
