Alchera to Provide eKYC Solution for SK Planet's "OK Cashback" Prepaid Card

Alchera (CEO Young-gyu Hwang) , a Vision AI-based authentication solution company, announced on the 9th that it supplied its eKYC (eKYC) solution to SK Planet's OK Cashback prepaid recharge card issuance process.

This initiative strengthens the non-face-to-face identity verification process required by the Real-Name Financial Transactions Act. OK Cashback users can now easily verify their identity through ID verification and a 1-won authentication process. This enhances both user convenience and security during the prepaid card issuance process.

Alchera's eKYC solution is a jointly developed product that combines Alchera's Vision AI technology with subsidiary Usbee's RegTech technology. It integrates key functions, including ID recognition (OCR), authenticity verification, small-sum deposit authentication, and AI facial recognition, into a cloud-based SaaS offering, offering flexible implementation tailored to the customer's environment.

Additionally, it is designed to meet domestic and international financial regulatory requirements, such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), making it applicable to a wide range of financial industries, including fintech.

In addition to this SK Planet case, Alchera stated that the solution is currently being supplied to approximately 110 companies, including major domestic fintech companies such as Korea Cable Telecom, Korbit, and Kurly Pay. The system operates on infrastructure certified with an Information Security Management System (ISMS), and Usby has proven its stability and reliability through years of commercial experience.

Alchera CEO Hwang Young-gyu said, “With the acceleration of digital transformation, the importance of non-face-to-face authentication and security is increasing,” and added, “Alchera and Usby will provide a trustworthy authentication infrastructure for both users and businesses based on their technological prowess and experience.”
