Edtech startup Jejedu (CEO Lee Ju-jin) announced on the 5th that it had been selected for "Battlefield 200," a flagship program of the global startup conference "TechCrunch Disrupt 2025." This marks the first time a domestic edtech startup has been included in this program.
TechCrunch Disrupt, a global startup event featuring global technology startups, investors, and media representatives, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Among the program's key features, "Battlefield 200" is a flagship program that selects 200 companies with technological prowess and growth potential from over 2,500 companies worldwide, providing them with exhibition and pitching opportunities. Numerous unicorn companies, including Dropbox, Fitbit, and Cloudflare, have first gained attention through this platform.
Jejedu was selected for this program in recognition of the technical excellence and educational applicability of its AI-based descriptive math solution feedback service, CherryPot. Accordingly, Jejedu will participate in the event, held in the US from October 27th to 29th, where it will operate a dedicated exhibition booth, meet with global investors and corporate representatives, pitch showcase, and engage in various activities, including media exposure. Jejedu will also participate in the Korea Pavilion, hosted by KOTRA, for on-site pitching and networking.
With this selection, Jejedu plans to fully expand into global markets, including North America and Southeast Asia. It is currently conducting proof-of-concept (PoC) trials with educational institutions in these regions. Following its selection as a best practice in the "AI for Good" education field by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a UN agency, Jejedu is also participating in NVIDIA's Inception program.
Founded with an initial investment from Naver D2SF, Jejedu is a startup that has supplied its "Cherrypot" solution to over 190 domestic middle and high schools. Starting in 2024, Jejedu will also provide AI-based math education solutions to CMS Gifted Education Center, a convergence thinking education company, and is expanding its business in the domestic market.
