The Seoul Economic Promotion Agency (SBA, CEO Hyunwoo Kim) announced on the 5th that it has formed the "SBA Communication Club (Com:Cl)" to promote the achievements of outstanding companies participating in the agency's support programs and expand collaboration opportunities. This community aims to help companies participating in SBA-supported programs not only provide one-time support but also continuously enhance their brand value and foster inter-company networking and collaboration.
Eligible companies are those that have participated in SBA-supported projects within the past three years and have accumulated sales or investment of at least 1 billion won. Approximately 60 companies from various fields, including digital technology, healthcare, and lifestyle, participated in this round.
On August 28th, the SBA held its "1st Communication Club" networking event at the Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok. Representatives and executives from 40 companies attended the event. It began with a welcoming address by SBA Communications Director Lee Ju-yeon, followed by a lecture by branding expert Professor Hong Seong-tae, introductions of participating companies, and a networking session. This event saw active communication and proposals for collaboration between companies from various fields.
The SBA plans to offer a variety of support programs for companies participating in the Communication Club, including CEO networking, media and broadcast publicity support, and SBA business guidance. Additionally, the company will continue to accept applications from companies that have participated in support programs within the past three years and have achieved certain sales or investment performance standards.
Meanwhile, the SBA has been enhancing the brand value of outstanding companies and strengthening communication with citizens through media, social media, and collaborations with small and medium-sized F&B companies. It has implemented various campaigns, including the "SBA Burger" and "SBA Tteokbokki." This year, the SBA is continuing its practical support activities, including the "Chicken Run" snack support project for Seoul startups.
Lee Ju-yeon, SBA Communications Director, said, “We hope that the Communication Club will become a venue for collaboration and synergy among companies in various fields, and we will continue to provide support and networking opportunities in the future.”
